Summary
The week started of with a Tuesday, which is terribly bad 'cause it's a long day plus Art session. Had Physics SPA as well and I think I'd do badly since I had weird scales and my graph was so big I couldn't find the answer for one of the questions, I even asked for another graph paper and tried to combine them but I had no time so yeah. Doesn't really matter, wait till the results come out. I reached home quite late and didn't really study for Literature FA the nest day, but luckily I did my notes during the weekend.
On Wednesday, NAPFA. I was as unfit as usual but I still passed. 2.4km run next Tuesday, hope I don't fail. After 5 items, at about 4PM, some of us had ice-cream to reward ourselves. And I studied Physics with Ying Xuan, Yi-lin and Wan Ting till 5.30PM before heading home. Reached home late and studied till 1.30AM. Oh thank you Penelope for making the effort to tell me about Monsoon Winds though I still didn't know where the winds would go after looking at the notes and text books.
Then there was Physics and Geography on Thursday, glad that they're over. I doubt I'll do okay even. But, fortunately there was only one question on Monsoon Winds- which I totally didn't study 'cause I didn't get it right from the start. Physics, I forgot F=ma, and instead of even using (v-u)/t, I used (v-t)/u. I forgot what the letters stand for, and I'm dumb enough to think that t was initial velocity when it usually would be t-i-m-e! Always look at the bright side of life, after school was class detention! First we waited outside the AVA room and counted down to go in. So, Joan, Ying Xuan, Elyssa, Jia Wen, Penelope, Hui Qi and Wan Ting sat in the second row and we occupied the first row as well with all our bags which we purposely put on every single seat. And the prefect even ask whose bags they were, lol. Then we were told we had to sit on every alternate seat, shut up, and reflect (they gave us some questions to answer). The more they told us not to interact the more we felt the itch to make noises. So Elyssa and I told the rest to one by one make some noises, and it was like a wave effect, Wan Ting, Hui Qi, Penelope, Jia Wen, Elyssa, me, Ying Xuan and Joan subsequently cleared our throats/ coughed/ giggled/ made sounds. Whoo, cool man. Then we became kept quiet and did our reflections. We're supposed to write in only English, if not Ying Xuan probably would have written Chinese!
1. Write a paragraph on why you landed up in detention
2. Do you think you are responsible for this?
3. Who will be indirectly/ directly affected by this?
4. What are the consequences of your action besides dentention?
5. Write 5 positive qualities about yourself
6. Describe how you can use these qualities to prevent landing up in DC
7. State 3 aspects about yourself that you should improve on
(From Elyssa's blog)
I didn't know how to answer them alright, and my handwriting was seriously u-g-l-y. Meanwhile, while we were doing our reflections, we had a paper MSN converstation! And from the conversation, I found out many of them were talking about oh-so-great-and-farsighted stuff! Like, air-conditioners not being switched off results in wastage of fuels and then eventuallylead to Global Warming. And and, Joan even suggested something under the aspect of Economic that we use our ink to write reflections and use up lots of pen ink, and then we buy pens from the bookshop and the sales of pens increases, in the end the country prospers! But anyway it was supposed to be English detention instead of Geography detention. But if Geography teachers read our reflections, they'll be overwhelmed and touched that we apply our knowledge in our everyday lives! So 1 hour passed so quickly, the others handed in their reflections except me? I was stuck at question 5 and 6. I have no qualities so I should die, but I managed to steal some of Penelope's and Ying Xuan's qualities like Understanding, Honest and whatever, I don't remember. So thanks! Yeah I was the last to finish and my answer script was double-sided the P.I.T told me it was good enough. I'm gonna get full marks for my reflection. Elyssa even did a word count and she had 300 plus words, guess what? Ying Xuan had 800! Hahaha, I rushed my reflection, I didn't have the time to check if there were grammar mistakes! Okay so we left the AVA room, happy and all that. Too bad Yi-lin and Ke Xin didn't go for DC, so let's wait for the second round.
Today was boring, Computer Studies was Final Fantasy. No doubt the graphics are really, really, really very nice but I'm not interested. Then I didn't have recess 'cause I went to varnish my sculpture and breathe in the toxic gases instead even though it wouldn't even get chosen for competition. Then Art was mosaic, re-did our work, and it was nicer this time round so cheers! Assembly was boring as usual 'cause they talked about Politics. Hello, we're young and innocent don't expose us to conflicts and all that. Elyssa and I tied our shoelaces together (Ying Xuan was wearing the pair of shoes without shoelaces) and we tripped Wan Ting! Oh my gawd, sorry Wan Ting we didn't mean to make you fall but you fell so gracefully there wasn't a sound so forgive us. Yi-lin and Ke Xin were to heavy to get tripped, joking. And after that we tried to untie our shoelaces 'cause they were very tight after all that pulling so we used our name tags to pick the knot and it came off and the needle cut my finger and it bled I was so scared I cried. Hahaha whatever, joking. I went to my mother's office and I pushed my hand against the door knob which had a thing jutting out and then my palm bled. It's like internal bleeding 'cause the skin is still intact but there a small hump on my palm filled with blood. Severe blood loss today.
Tomorrow's Polling Day and I support PAP 'cause I was from Mountbatten PAP Kindergarten! But I'm not entitled to a vote.
Mathematics SA, Literature SA, Higher Chinese SA Part 1 and 2, English PT and Geography PT. Six more to clear and I can't wait.
